Work duties

The overall aim of the project is to study how shear forces generated by cross-flow, rotors and vibrations affect membrane capacity (flux) during ultrafiltration of macromolecules.

  • plan experiments together with project managers
  • independently carry out experiments on a pilot scale in the apparatus hall of the Department of Chemical Engineering
  • carefully document the work in the form of a logbook
  • together with the project managers, evaluate the results
  • present the work in a technical report together with the project managers

Qualifications  

Required qualifications for the position are:

  • Master of Science in Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Practical experience of ultrafiltration in conventional modules based on cross-flow filtration, and modules where the shear forces at the membrane are generated by rotors and vibrations

Additional qualifications for the position are:

  • ability to independently design and carry out experiments on your own
  •  experience of discussing and evaluating results from experiments together with other project participants

Consideration will also be given to how the applicant’s experience and skills complement and strengthen ongoing research within the department, and how they stand to contribute to its future development. 

Terms of employment

This is a fixed termed employment limited to 6 months with preliminary start date on 1st of January 2024, or according to agreement.
