Description of the workplace
At the research group for Surgery in Malmö, research is conducted within the interdisciplinary subject of surgery where disease mechanisms, diagnostic methods and treatment of surgical diseases are studied and further developed. For several years, there has been strong research in innovative endoscopy with relevance to the current service, specifically capsule endoscopy. The research is far ahead in both a national and international perspective. The research group is led by Professor Henrik Thorlacius and consists of both research and technical staff. Work duties
Plan and conduct animal experimental studies of tumor cell metastasis and white blood cell recruitment in lungs and peritoneal cavity in vivo. Isolation of neutrophil granulocytes and tumor cells in vitro. Extraction of RNA and mRNA from cells and tissues.
Qualifications
Requirements for the position are:
Expertise in in vivo microscopy of the lungs and abdominal cavity
Competence in basic molecular genetic methods

This is a full-time, permanent employment. Preliminary start date 2024-01-15 or according to agreement.
