Work duties

The work duties include, but are not limited to

  • Phage display on surface-immobilized protein and on live cells.
  • Protein-protein interaction analysis on cell surface proteins using FACS.
  • Protein-protein interaction analysis using SPR technology.
  • Yeast display FACS sorting.
  • Protein expression in bacterial and mammalian cells.
  • Protein purification using ion exchange chromatography and size-exclusion chromatography.
  • Protein purification using affinity chromatography such as split-EF tag system or IMAC.

Qualifications

Education: Masters Degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Biotherapeutics or equivalent. Documented hands-on experience of bacterial or mammalian cell culturing, protein expression and purification from bacterial and mammalian expression systems using ion exchange chromatography and size-exclusion chromatography, as well as affinity chromatography with the split EF-tag system, electrophoresis, Western blotting, Documented hands-on experience of florescence automated cell signalling (FACS), cell signalling assays, ELISA, confocal microscopy, phage display on surface-immobilized protein and on live cells. Documented hands-on experience of automated chromatography systems such as FPLC and HPLC.

Other merits

Excellent proficiency in English, spoken and written. Excellent proficiency in data analyisis. Programming skills in Python, MATLAB or equivalent. Professional certificate in toxicology and risk assessment. Documented hands-on experience of mass spectrometry for protein identification and validation.

Terms of employment

Fixed-term employment for 6 months, full time (100%).
