Description of the workplace
At the Division of Social Medicine and Global Health (SMGH), we work on questions related to global public health through education, research, and capacity development in collaboration with the global community. The division is located at the Department of Clinical Sciences in Malmö and is led by Professor Anette Agardh. The division consists of both researchers/teachers and administrative staff.

We are now looking for an assistant researcher for a permanent, full-time position.

Duties and responsibilities
Work duties will include:

  • Teaching in leadership and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in the master's program in public health
  • Project management of international capacity development programs with a focus on sexual violence
  • Research, including data collection, data processing, and analysis, using both qualitative and quantitative research methods in the field of sexual harassment and sexual violence
  • Supervision of master’s students and doctoral students

Other tasks within the research group may also be required. These tasks may involve some international travel, as required by the project.

Qualifications
The employment requires:  

  • Doctoral degree (PhD) in Public Health focused on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights
  • Teaching experience within Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights
  • Research experience in the field of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights
  • Experience in leading capacity development programs in Africa
  • Good knowledge and experience of quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Very good language ability in speech and writing in both Swedish and English

Strong emphasis will be placed on personal qualities. The tasks require that you have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in a team. Furthermore, you should find it rewarding and interesting to work in a multicultural environment and with international partners.

Preferred qualifications are:

  • Experience of working in a multicultural environment
  • Experience of collaboration with government authorities and educational institutions

Consideration will also be given to how the applicant, through experience and competence, is deemed to supplement and strengthen ongoing research within the research groups and contribute to their future development.

About the employment
The employment is a permanent, full-time position. Start date is 2024-03-01 or as agreed. The main rule is that employment at Lund University is conducted in Sweden, you are therefore expected to be able to carry out your work on site in Lund.
