Lund University School of Aviation aims to be a knowledge centre for research, development and education within the aeronautical sciences, where we in collaboration understand, explain and improve aviation towards an accessible, sustainable and safe society in the digital age. The focus areas for our research include: sustainable aviation, unmanned aviation and aviation safety. The area aviation safety overlaps with the two others. In our research focusing on the electrified airport, issues of safety are central and in need for further knowledge development. The project in which the postdoc will be active is a collaboration project, coordinated by the university but also including airport owner, infrastructure producers, municipality and additional stakeholders. The collaboration project will run for two years with the aim to deliver social benefits through the establishment of a conceptual description for the electrified airport as well as a concrete plan for the electrification of Ljungbyhed Airport. In the project several work packages are included. The one specifically focusing on human-machine-interactions is the one for which we are now recruiting a postdoc. The postdoc will be placed at Campus Ljungbyhed and work actively in an interdisciplinary team including researchers from all three LUSA research areas. Collaboration will also take place with researchers from other departments within the Lund University Faculty of Engineering.
Aeronautical Sciences, focusing on aviation safety, include a systems perspective to how safety emerge from interactions and relations between actors and artefacts within the complex aviation system.
