The work place is located at the Centre for East and South-East Asian Studies, a division within the History Department. The Centre is located in its own building that houses some lecture rooms as well as the Asia library. The Centre currently has a staff of 13, including 5 PhD students, working on contemporary East and South-East Asia; a new lecturer and two PhD students will start in the fall. In addition we have two administrative staff, and currently one visiting Marie Curie fellow.
The staff is diverse in terms of gender and international with colleagues from many different countries; and the working language is mostly English. It is an active environment with many visitors and public lectures.

You have a PhD in human rights with a focus on South-East Asia.

The employment is for a fixed term for fourteen months with a scope of 50 per cent of full time starting on 1 July 2024.
