Description of the workplace
The Research Group for Epidemiology and Population Studies (EPI@Lund) is led by Professor Jonas Björk and is located at the Department of Laboratory Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine. We are an interdisciplinary research environment with premises in Tornbladhuset in central Lund. Read more about our research here.

Work duties 
The Associate Researcher will conduct continued research in our ongoing research projects with focus on epidemiological monitoring of protection against covid-19, influenza and other infectious diseases in the population and particularly vulnerable groups such as elderly people living in nursing homes. Some teaching on undergraduate and graduate education may occur.

Qualifications
Requirements for employment are:

  • Doctoral degree in epidemiology, public health science or related field
  • Previous documented postdoctoral experience in epidemiology or epidemiological surveillance
  • Previous experience in studies of vaccine coverage and/or vaccine protection against covid-19
  • Experience in population studies linked with national and regional population and health data registers

Additional qualifications for the position are:

  • Very good knowledge of spoken and written English
  • Basic knowledge of Swedish

Great emphasis will be held on personal suitability. The evaluation of applicants will take account of their previous publications, research profile, experience and knowledge.

The employment is a fulltime position (100%) time limited to 1 year starting June 20 or according to agreement.
