Description of the workplace
At the social medicine and health policy research group, research is conducted with the aim to understand the importance of social capital for somatic and mental health, health-related lifestyle habits, access to health care, and socioeconomic differences in health. The research is conducted with epidemiological observational studies based on national and international public health surveys and Swedish register data. The analyzes are carried out in different multiple regression models adapted to cross-sectional data and longitudinal data respectively. You can read more about the research here. Work duties
The person we are looking for will work on social capital, socioeconomic differences in unmet care needs, public and private primary care, and different health outcomes in different demographic groups based mainly on longitudinal data. The studies will require knowledge of social capital, socio-economic models, epidemiology, management of register data and various types of multiple regression analyses.

Qualifications
Requirements for the position are:

  • PhD in the field of social medicine and public health
  • Previous experience in epidemiology, handling of registry data and various types of multiple regression analyses
  • Experience of research in social capital, socio-economic models and unmet care needs
  • Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities. The tasks require you to be driven, focused and willing to work in a team

Meritorious for the position are:

  • Knowledge of social capital, socio-economic models, epidemiology, management of register data and different types of multiple regression analyses.

Terms of employment
The employment is a special fixed-term employment (SÄVA) with a scope of 50% during the period 2024-10-01 – 2024-11-30, or as agreed.
