Description of the workplace
The advertised position as an assistant researcher is within a multidisciplinary cancer research group with four senior researchers, a biomedical analyst, and several doctoral students. Collaboration occurs with clinical researchers and doctoral students as well as master’s students. The workplace is at Medicon Village in Lund, where there is a multidisciplinary environment with several research groups in cancer research from the medical and technical faculties.

Tasks and Responsibilities
The tasks involve independently and under supervision driving the subproject within the project on predicting lymph node status based on data from large databases with clinical data, supplemented with biological information from multiplex staining, protein, and gene expression. Specifically, the tasks include developing analysis plans, performing biostatistical and bioinformatics calculations, writing reports, and drafting manuscripts. Additionally, the work involves automating sample processing for mass spectrometry-based proteomics analyses.

Terms of employment
The position is a temporary position for 6 months at 100 percent from the 1st of December 2024 to the 31st of May 2025 or according to agreement.
