Description of the workplace
The assistant researcher will work in the Cardiac MR-group, Clinical Physiology, Department of Clinical Sciences Lund. This multidisciplinary group of about 40 researchers consists of medical doctors, engineers, physicists, technologists, and physiotherapists.

Tasks and areas of responsibility
As an Assistant Researcher in the Cardiac MRI Group, your main tasks will include:

  • Developing post-processing and image reconstruction methods for fetal MRI using artificial intelligence and machine learning.
  • Optimizing and validating MRI methods for fetal imaging.
  • Writing scientific articles for publication in international peer-reviewed journals.

Other tasks may also arise as needed.

Qualifications
The position requires:

  • A completed PhD with a focus relevant to the project’s tasks.
  • Experience with artificial intelligence and machine learning in medical science.
  • Proficiency in writing scientific articles for publication in international journals.
  • Fluent or advanced proficiency in English, both spoken and written.

Meriting Qualifications

  • Experience in developing acquisition and post-processing methods for MRI imaging.
  • Fluency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Experience with programming, preferably in Matlab.

Personal qualities will be of great importance for this role. The duties require the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Terms and Conditions
This is a temporary position (SÄVA) for 12 months, full-time. Preferred start date is December 14, 2024, or as agreed. Positions at Lund University are located in Sweden, and therefore you are expected to perform your work on-site in Lund.
