The Lund Stem Cell Center (SCC) at Lund University is a world-leading center for stem cell research with the mission to transfer basic scientific results to the clinic to improve human health. The SCC was founded in 2003 and now consists of 42 research groups that carry out interdisciplinary research in the field of stem cells. The research at the SCC is diverse and covers several aspects of developmental and stem cell biology. The SCC leads excellent stem cell research and leading education for the next generation of scientists with the long-term goal of making stem cell therapies a reality. The SCC is an international work environment (over 40 nationalities) and has a great sense of community. The centre itself is an umbrella organisation with members employed at several different departments at the Faculty of Medicine at Lund University, several of which have links to Skåne University Hospital.
The FACS platform is an important unit within the SCC and its purpose is to develop and offer high-quality services in the field of flow cytometry for both the SCC and external research groups.

Management of FACS instruments within the facility and associated laboratory work.
Daily work included in the facility's services. These include:
- Operation and troubleshooting of flow cytometry instruments
- Service to users in the form of cell sorting and analysis of samples prepared by the user
- Contact with companies in the field
- Introduction to new users
- Advise users on method and choice of instruments as well as data analysis
- Teaching on courses in flow cytometry
- Orders and administrative tasks within the facility
Uncomfortable working hours may occur
Requirements for the position are:
• Degree as a biomedical analyst or equivalent or 180 credits in relevant education
• Applicants must have very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with different people. The work requires interaction with several different staff categories and research groups.
Applicants must have very good written and spoken English.
It is a merit if the applicant has experience of working with/handling various flow cytometry instruments, such as BD FACS ARIA III, Melody, Symphony S6, Discover S8, Fortessa, Symphony A1 and Cytek Aurora.
It is a merit if the applicant has experience of teaching
Very strong social skills are sought.
