Description of the workplace
As an assistant researcher, you will work within the Quantitative Immunobiology research group. This group conducts high-tech medical research focused on immunology, infection, and cancer and consists of a mix of doctoral students, postdocs, as well as technical and administrative staff.

Tasks and areas of responsibility
The work includes the development and use of data-driven microscopy (DDM), a new microscopy platform being developed within the research group. DDM will be used to study infection with super-resolution. The results will be applied to medical questions in infection and immunology

Other tasks may also arise as needed.

Qualifications

Required for the position:

  • PhD in biomedicine or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in advanced microscopy, including super-resolution.
  • Good experience in cell and microbiology, including infection.
  • Extensive experience in systems microscopy, including programming

Meriting Qualifications

  •  Ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills. 

Terms and Conditions
This is a temporary position (SÄVA) for 12 months, full-time. Preferred start date is January 1st, 2025, or as agreed. Positions at Lund University are located in Sweden, and therefore you are expected to perform your work on-site in Lund.
