The Student Experience and Mobility team, at the Division of External Relations, works with service and communication for international students at Lund University.
Within our Mentor Programme, hundreds of current students work to help new international students find their way around Lund, the university and to find a social network to enrich their time at Lund University so they feel included and integrated. The mentors work on Arrival Day, during the Orientation Weeks and during the semester in mentor groups. As the Mentor Coordinator, you are responsible for recruiting new mentors and act as the main contact person for all mentors.

It is possible to combine this position with full-time studies. The workload varies and at different times can be quite heavy or light.
Candidates should be used to moving in an international environment and bring intercultural experience with them to the workplace. Examples of this may be that they have gone on exchange or worked abroad. To succeed as the Mentor Coordinator, you must be socially competent and enjoy working with and meeting new people.
The Mentor Coordinator’s job involves a lot of work with communication and it is therefore, very important that candidates are comfortable using both spoken and written English, and used to speaking in front of large groups. Many tasks in this job are administrative meaning that planning and organizational skills are key to success.
