Description of the workplace.    

The teaching assistant will be placed at CIRCLE, Lund University. CIRCLE is a world leading centre for innovation research (circle.lu.se)

Work duties

As a teaching assistant, your work duties may vary and your tasks should provide an insight into the academic world. You will contribute to collecting quantitative and qualitative data and do analyses related to innovation studies. The work time can be planned flexibly.

The duties includes:

  • Support research in the field of innovation studies
  • Administrative support related to research

Qualification requirements

You are eligible to be employed if you have been admitted to first or second-cycle courses and study programmes at Lund University, either at Faculty of engineering (LTH), School of Economics and Management or Faculty of social sciences. The degree must not yet be awarded.

Required qualifications

  • Undertakes studies related to the topic of innovation
  • Very good oral and written proficiency in English  
  • Has knowledge/experience with quantitative and qualitative methods
  • High ability to collaborate, and complete tasks independently and in an effective way. 

Additional requirements : 

  • Previous work with large databases and Stata is a merit.
  • Previous work with conducting interviews is a merit.

The position is a fixed term position between the period 1/3/2025 – 30/06/25 at 25 per cent of full time. The employment as a Teaching Assistant is regulated in the Higher Education Ordinance (SFS 2017:284), 5 chapter 8-12 §§.

Employment as a teaching assistant may not correspond to more than 50 per cent of a full-time post. Teaching assistants shall be employed for an indefinite period, however, for no longer than one year. These appointments may be extended. The total employment period as a teaching assistant may not, however, exceed three years. The employment is covered by the Flextime Agreement for T/A personnel.
