Description of the Workplace
The Research Group for Tumor Microenvironment conducts translational studies on brain tumors. The group focuses on clinically oriented cancer research using advanced experimental methods. It consists of a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and experimental researchers with specialized expertise in model systems for brain tumors. The activities are based at the Kamprad Building, SUS, Lund.

The research group is engaged in several cutting-edge projects with unique opportunities to drive progress in the field. The group is led by Mattias Belting, a clinically active physician, with close ties to the clinical treatment of cancer patients.

We are now looking for a Project Assistant for experimental work within our research projects. The position is a full-time, fixed-term employment with a start date of 2025-03-01 or as agreed upon.

Work Tasks
As a Project Assistant, you will perform experimental work, analysis, compilation, and presentation of results within the area of Tumor Microenvironment.

Qualifications

Required:

  • MSc in Molecular Biology or equivalent.
  • Experience in experimental work with immune cells and bone marrow preparation.
  • Experience in experimental work within cancer research.
  • Strong collaboration skills.

Meritorious:

  • Experience in experimental work with viral vectors.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability, assessed through interviews and references from previous employers or course supervisors.

Other Information
The position is a fixed-term employment according to the Special Fixed-term Employment (SÄVA) regulations §5 p1 LAS, and it is full-time. The desired start date is 2025-03-01 or as agreed upon, with an end date of 2025-08-14.
