Sociology of Law Department advertise a position as research assistant part time for three months to assist developing a research application on lawyers and state transformation in post-communist countries. The tasks will mainly be to conduct a literature review, assist in application writing and practical matters.

Tasks

We are looking for a project assistant with strong scientific skills and documented experience in conducting literature review. The applicant should be able to show excellent analytical skills, flexibility and be able to work in a team. Moreover, it is a requirement that the applicant is proficient in English and has good administrative skills.

The assistant will be expected to:

- Conduct a literature review

- Participate in project meetings

- Draft research application

- Help with administrative task as booking meetings, flights etc.

Requirements and Merits

A master’s/MA degree in sociology of law, sociology, or a similar field is required.

Applications will be assessed based on the following criteria:

Good scientific ability

Evidence of the applicant’s ability to work in a group and/or in scientific collaborations

Good proficiency in English

Other skills that are relevant to the research project’s focus and the tasks included in the position
