Work duties

The staff member will be expected to integrate and test various development branches of the ecosystem model LPJ-GUESS, with a particular focus on developments relating to wood formation and possibly the daily allocation of carbon in the LPJ-GUESS.

 Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor and Master's degrees in quantiative science and especially biogeophysical science.
  • Very good oral and written proficiency in English.
  • Worklife experience working actively with the LPJ-GUESS model, including development, testing, debugging, performing site and regional simulations, and performing sensitivity experiments.
  • Documented knowledge about wood formation modelling of model development.
  • Skills in computer programming with C++ and Matlab or Python..

Terms of employment

Fixed-term employment (Särskild visstidsanställning SÄVA) at 100% of full time for a period of 1 month.

Starting date, 17:th March 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.
