Description of the Workplace
The research group for Clinical Microbiology conducts research in the field of microbiology. For several years, this research has been at the forefront of microbiology. The group is led by Professor K. Riesbeck and consists of research and technical staff. The operations are located at the Wallenberg Laboratory in Malmö. Job Description
As an associate researcher, you will conduct advanced frontline research in molecular microbiology and vaccine research. Your duties include investigating the molecular mechanisms of microorganisms, their interactions with hosts, and how they adapt to different environments. You will analyze genetic data and use modern laboratory techniques to study pathogens and their properties, aiming to understand and combat infectious diseases. A significant part of the work will also focus on the development of new and improved vaccines, where you contribute to creating effective protection against microbial threats. You are expected to independently plan and conduct experiments, analyze results, and present research findings in scientific contexts. Collaboration with other research groups and colleagues in the field is central, and you will work in a dynamic and innovative environment where your work contributes to future public health and vaccine research.
