Description of the workplace

The work in the Glia-Immune Interactions Laboratory is centered around the glia-lymphatic (glymphatic) system, a clearance mechanism for solutes and proteins in the brain, and its role in CNS diseases. Disruption of this system in disease and aging may increase susceptibility to neurodegenerative diseases or exacerbate pathology in existing conditions.

Our laboratory's goal is to gain a deeper understanding of the glymphatic system and its role in neurodegenerative diseases. The lab utilizes animal models and in vivo imaging to study the glymphatic system in both health and disease. Our research is highly translational, employing models relevant to human diseases.

The laboratory is located at the Biomedical Center in Lund. Within the research group, we emphasize a positive work environment with respect and consideration in our interactions. We continuously strive to create a workplace that fosters joy, development, and participation for all group members. The group is international and regularly hosts visiting researchers and master's students.

We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to conduct research on the EAE model of multiple sclerosis in relation to stem cells and glymphatic system.
