The Research Group
The research group conducts translational cancer research using advanced experimental methods. It consists of a multidisciplinary team including both clinicians and experimental researchers. The group's research focuses on brain tumors and lung cancer. Team members include PhD-qualified physicians, postdoctoral researchers, PhD students, research engineers, and a research nurse.

The research group is now seeking a Project Assistant for a full-time, fixed-term position. The position will start on July 1, 2025, or as agreed, and run until December 31, 2025.

Job Responsibilities
The project assistant will support various tasks related to experimental laboratory work and bioinformatic analysis, including compiling and presenting research results.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • MSc in Molecular Biology or equivalent
  • Experience in isolation and proteomic analysis of extracellular vesicles from patient samples
  • Experience with bioinformatic analyses in R, etc.
  • Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills

Additional qualifications (meritorious):

  • Academic studies or experience related to small cell lung cancer

Other Information
This is a fixed-term position under the Special Fixed-Term Employment provision (SÄVA, Section 5.1 of LAS). The position is full-time for six months, expected to begin on July 1, 2025, or as agreed.

About the Department
The Department of Clinical Sciences Lund (IKVL) is one of six departments at the Faculty of Medicine. The department collaborates extensively within the faculty and with other university units. IKVL also maintains strong partnerships with Skåne University Hospital (SUS), Region Skåne, and society and industry at large. These collaborations aim to promote clinical and experimental translational research, development, and education.
