About the workplace
At Kansli S at the Faculty of Social Sciences, we are 50 employees, and we are located in premises at Gamla Kirurgen in the Campus Paradis area in the centre of Lund. We work with qualified support for the faculty management and the faculty's departments in education, management support, research, HR, finance and communication. Our work is characterised by independence, high commitment and responsibility with a great deal of trust from management. The position is located at the International Office, within Kansli S. The International Office is responsible for planning and coordinating international student exchanges and faculty-wide English-language education and courses at bachelor, master, and doctoral levels. The International Office provides advice and support on internationalization issues to faculty management and departments, and proposes strategic directions for the faculty's internationalization efforts.

Work duties
As an “amanuens” (teaching assistant), your tasks may vary and the tasks should provide insight into the academic world. Your main duties:
Additional duties may be added and your duties may vary during the year, depending on current needs. During the summer, the work mainly consists of monitoring and answering incoming email. The reception is open during the autumn and spring semester, three hours, four times a week. You are two receptionists who divide the work shifts between you.
Qualifications
Eligible for employment as an amanuens (teaching assistant) is someone who is actively pursuing studies at the undergraduate or advanced level at the Faculty of Social Sciences and has not yet graduated. Requirements for employment are that uou are admitted to, and in your first year of one of the following programmes and on track with your studies:

We are looking to hire two student receptionists. The positions are fixed term positions from 2025-06-02 until 2026-05-30 (or according to agreement) at 15 % of full time. The employment as an amanuens (Teaching Assistant) is regulated in the Higher Education Ordinance (SFS 2017:284), 5 chapter 8-12 §§. The position follows the work time agreement (Flextidsavtal) for technical and administrative staff.
