Description of workplace
The research group conducts research in the field of diabetes, particularly insulin secretion, metabolism, and stem cells. For several years, the research has been at the forefront of the field, with many significant publications in internationally high-ranking journals. The group is led by Professor Hindrik Mulder and Associate Professor Malin Fex and consists of research and technical staff. The operations are located at CRC in Malmö. Duties and responsibilities
The work duties includes: dissect human pancreas from organ donors, operate PRISM (an instrument for isolating human islets from organ donors), conduct advanced scientific studies in the laboratory, differentiate stem cells into insulin-producing cells, culture pancreatic islets and stem cells and supervision of students, doctoral candidates, and postdoctoral researchers in the field of islet research.
