We invite applications for a researcher to join LUCSUS to work on the project ‘Prefiguring sustainable food enterprises for sustainability education.’ This research position is funded by Formas and will involve research in both Sweden and Canada.
Main responsibilities
The main research tasks will be on the project ‘Prefiguring sustainable food enterprises for sustainability education’. This will include conducting research to explore how sustainable food initiatives prefigure sustainable food futures and the extent to which prefiguration of sustainable food enterprise promotes sustainability education.
The position will also involve teaching and supervision of students on LUCSUS’ Master’s programme(s).
Required Qualifications
- A PhD in sustainability science or a related field
- A strong publication record, including co-authored work in the field of sustainability
- Demonstrated experience working with qualitative and participatory methods
- Demonstrated experience conducting interdisciplinary research about education for sustainability and on sustainable food initiatives through the lens of prefiguration
- Strong academic writing skills and experience leading manuscripts
- Ability to work independently and in international teams
- Experience teaching and supervising theses at a Master’s level
- Experience conducting ethical fieldwork and working with remote communities
- Excellent English and at least intermediate Swedish language skills
