Requirements profile
We are looking for a person who can assist with research activities in relation to climate litigation under a changing climate at Lund University Center for Sustainability Studies (LUCSUS). The responsibilities will primarily include 'desk research' on the concept of social mobilization under climate change in the Swedish context. The successful applicant will work closely with Project Manager Emily Boyd.
Applicants must hold an advanced academic degree (MSc or PhD) in sociology of law or a closely related field. The ideal candidate will have documented experience conducting independent research under tight deadlines, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel—preferably within an academic setting. Applicants should demonstrate a strong capacity to align their work with project objectives, priorities, and deliverables, and to present their work in a structured and coherent manner, including report writing. Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and French are required. Applicants must also have demonstrated experience in the areas of climate litigation and social mobilization, including a proven track record of conducting systematic literature reviews. Familiarity with intersectional approaches and legal theory, as well as techniques for analyzing climate-related court cases, is essential.
