The Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts is one of eight faculties within Lund University and includes Malmö Art Academy, Malmö Academy of Music and Malmö Theatre Academy, also Inter Arts Center and Choral Centre South. The Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts offers Bachelor and Master programs in visual art, music and drama, and various courses of different extent. The Faculty also runs third cycle (postgraduate) studies in artistic research and music education.
We are looking for a Senior Lecturer in Fine Arts with a specialisation in installation, digital
imaging and drawing, including administrative duties as Director of Studies.
As a Senior Lecturer in Fine Art, you are expected to have the ability to analyse the
communicative aspects of artistic expressions and processes in a discursive and contemporary
artistic context. This is a central part of being able to work with messages and content in artistic
practice. You will collaborate with the teaching staff and school technicians to plan and
organise the teaching. Teaching can be individual or group-based and include seminars,
workshops and guest lectures.
Through this diverse teaching structure, you will contribute to developing students' artistic skills
in the liberal arts. The students will receive training in technical skills as well as a deeper
understanding of the complexities of artistic production. Furthermore, they will be given the
tools to develop their own artistic methods and approaches to the subject.
The role of Director of Studies also includes administrative tasks, such as course planning,
curriculum design, scheduling and student counselling.
As Director of Studies, you will be responsible for administrative tasks in the areas of
scheduling, curricula and other administrative functions.
Qualified for employment as Senior Lecturer in Fine Arts with a specialisation in installation,
digital imaging and drawing are those who have demonstrated pedagogical skills, who have
completed a degree in Fine Arts at second-cycle level or have otherwise acquired equivalent
knowledge, and who have other skills of significance with regard to the subject focus of the
employment and the tasks included in the employment.
Lund University stipulates as an eligibility requirement that applicants for teaching posts must,
as part of their teaching skills, have completed a higher education teaching programme lasting
at least five weeks, or possess equivalent knowledge and skills.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Eligibility requirements and assessment
criteria for employment as a Senior Lecturer are stated in Lund University's appointment rules.
Meritorious is also higher education pedagogical training of at least five weeks or possess
equivalent knowledge and skills.
The employment is limited in time for three years with the support of the Higher Education
Ordinance chapter 4 §10.
The scope of the employment is 60% of full time. Access according to agreement.

an artistic focus and in music education.
The Malmö Art Academy has around 75 students and offers programmes in fine arts at bachelor,
master and doctoral level
