We are looking for visiting professors at the Lund School of Economics and Management to provide international perspectives to one (or more) of the departments of the faculty:

Lund University School of Economics and Management (LUSEM) is one of eight faculties at Lund University, hosting over 4,000 students and around 400 faculty and staff across six departments: Business Administration, Business Law, Economic History, Economics, Informatics, and Statistics. About the role

As a visiting professor at Lund University, your responsibilities will primarily focus on advancing your research area, providing mentorship, and stimulating the broader academic environment through active engagement in research, teaching, supervision, and collaboration. Key aspects of the role include fostering international research networks, mentoring junior colleagues, and initiating or contributing to applications for external research funding. Additionally, there may be opportunities to develop and enhance courses, particularly at the doctoral level, that have the potential to attract international students and strengthen the School's academic offerings. The exact focus and scope of your tasks will be tailored individually, taking into account your expertise and LUSEM's strategic priorities.

About you

Requirements – essential qualifications to carry out duties

We are looking for candidates who: 

  • Are currently employed as full professors at higher education institutions outside of Sweden. 
  • Demonstrate an outstanding scientific track record of the highest international standard within their field of expertise.
  • Demonstrate having competencies or being active in a field of particular importance to researchers or research groups at one or more of our departments, outlined in the short presentation that is submitted with the application. 
  • Demonstrate strong academic leadership, with a proven ability to develop research environments and academic communities. 
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Are proficient in both oral and written English.
