Description of the workplace
The division of mathematical physics spans both the faculties of natural science and engineering science (LTH), and it is a part of the department of physics. Research is conducted primarily in the fields of quantum many-body systems, which includes theoretical research in nuclear physics, nanometer physics, quantum information, atomic physics, and modeling of materials, with several collaborations internationally and within Lund University.
Project description
The purpose of the project is to study quantum correlations generated from high-dimensional systems and investigate their applications in quantum communication. The project emphasises theoretical work but involves also collaboration with experiment groups.
Tasks and responsibilities
At Lund University, a postdoctoral position shall provide the opportunity for scientific and pedagogical merit. There is primarily scope for merit in research, but also for some higher education pedagogical training. Teaching may also be included in the duties.
Your responsibility is to conduct high-quality research in an independent and communicative way. You will have the opportunity to collaborate freely with research colleagues, supervise undergraduate thesis projects and research student projects, teach, acquire pedagogical merits and cooperate with business and society.

About the employment
The position is a fixed-term position for two years, 100% with a start date of 01-11-2025 or in accordance to agreement. Employment at Lund University is conducted in Sweden, so you are expected to be able to perform your work on site in Lund.
The position is limited to a minimum of two years and a maximum of three years, in accordance with the collective agreement on fixed-term employment as a postdoctoral researcher (Arbetsgivarverket). A position as a postdoctoral researcher is intended as an initial step in your career and as an opportunity to further deepen and broaden your research expertise.
