At the Division of Clinical Genetics and within the research group led by Thoas Fioretos, we are seeking a postdoctoral researcher in multimodal single-cell analysis. The research group, consisting of around ten members, focuses on integrative genomic analyses of leukemia cells to better understand the origins of these diseases and to improve diagnostics, monitoring, and treatment of patients with leukemia. A major focus is on multimodal single-cell analysis of leukemia cells, which requires advanced bioinformatics expertise.

Job Description
The position involves planning, execution, and bioinformatic analysis of multimodal single-cell analyses (scRNA-seq, CITE-seq, Mut-seq) of leukemia cells. The successful candidate will work in a team of researchers with expertise in molecular genetics and bioinformatics and will be responsible for planning, conducting, analyzing, and compiling data from a large number of AML cases.

The position is full-time and limited to two years, with the possibility of extension for up to one additional year. The employment is regulated according to the “Agreement on Fixed-Term Employment as a Postdoctoral Fellow – 2022-02-01”. Desired start date is October 1, 2025, or as agreed.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a postdoctoral position, the applicant must have obtained a doctoral degree, or a foreign degree deemed equivalent, in a subject relevant to the position (i.e., biology, biomedicine, medicine, chemistry). The degree must have been awarded no more than three years before the date of the employment decision. Exceptions may be made if there are special circumstances.
