Description of the workplace

The Research Group for Molecular Cancer Research at the Division of Translational Cancer Research, Lund University, investigates substances that regulate cell regeneration and growth factors in the human body.

We are currently seeking an Associate Researcher to join us in completing an ongoing research project focused on ovarian cancer.

Work duties and areas of responsibility

The duties and responsibilities include completing ongoing projects initiated within the research group that require additional experimental work to generate scientific data. Tasks may involve conducting biochemical assays, performing drug sensitivity analyses, and handling animals, including IV injections, tumor isolation, and imaging, when necessary. The general lab works include cell culture, reagent preparation, western blotting, and other biochemical assays.

Additional responsibilities include data analysis and preparing manuscripts as well as lab orders, waste management and general organizational works assigned from the division.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in experimental biology, biochemistry or molecular biology
  • Documented experience in animal handling
  • Experience in on handling mouse models of ovarian cancer
  • Experience in common biochemical and molecular biological methods
  • Knowledge in tumor biology and cellular signaling
  • Excellent written and spoken English

Additional qualifications for the position are

  • Expert knowledge in ovarian cancer biology
  • Ability to collaborate in an international research collaboration.

Further information
The position is a full time position time limited to 6 months starting in 01.01.2026 or according to agreement.
