Description of workplace
At the research group 'Hypertension and Cardiovascular Disease' at IKVM, we conduct research focused on the prevention of cardiometabolic diseases. For several years, our work has been at the forefront of the field, identifying novel hormonal systems that influence the risk of cardiometabolic disease. The group is led by Professor Olle Melander and includes both researchers and technical staff. Our activities are based at the Clinical Research Centre (CRC) in Malmö. Work duties and responsibilities
Plan and conduct analyses of omics data (e.g. proteomics, metabolomics) in relation to lifestyle factors such as sleep and physical activity. Analyze high-resolution panel data from activity meters to identify relationships between physiological metrics and biological markers. Develop and apply statistical models for longitudinal data, including mixed models, and time series analyses. Write scientific articles for publication, contribute to national and international conferences and write applications for research grants related to the current research. Contribute to knowledge transfer by presenting results within and outside the research group. Supervise students or junior researchers within subprojects. Staying up to date with the latest developments in statistical methods, bioinformatics, and wearable technology related to health data.

This is a fixed-term position (SÄVA) of 3 months, 100 % of full time. Starting date 2025-11-01 or according to agreement.
