Description of the Workplace
The Mitochondrial Medicine research group brings together researchers and students with an interest in the function of energy-producing mitochondria in health and disease. The group is led by Eskil Elmér, Adjunct Professor of Experimental and Clinical Neurophysiology. We are now in need of an additional assistant researcher who will have primary responsibility for two academic projects in collaboration with industry. The first project involves advanced analyses of mitochondrial function and studies of the pharmacodynamic effects of a group of chemical substances known as quinones. The second project concerns the establishment of ex vivo analyses to study the disease pyruvate kinase deficiency. The research is conducted at the Biomedical Centre in Lund (BMC), in close proximity to Skåne University Hospital in Lund.

Within the research group, we value a positive work environment based on respect and care in our relationships with each other. We continually work to create conditions for job satisfaction, development, and involvement for all employees.
