Duties
We are seeking a amanuens to support the department’s administrative work related to undergraduate and graduate education. The current administrative team consists of just over two education coordinator positions. The new amanuens will primarily assist the education coordinators with administrative tasks during the admissions period.

Other administrative duties may include:
•     Working in the student office, such as handling emails and phone calls, distributing exams and assignments, ordering light refreshments, booking rooms, etc.
•     Working in administrative systems such as Ladok, UBAS, and Canvas
•     Administering course evaluations
•     Providing administrative support to other staff within the administration
•     Other general administrative tasks and archiving

Qualifications
According to Chapter 5, Section 10 of the Higher Education Ordinance (HF), a requirement for employment as a amanuens is that you are admitted to studies at the undergraduate or graduate level. To be eligible for this position, the candidate must be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies at the Department of Human Geography and Economic Geography. Previous experience in academic administration is highly meritorious.

The role requires the ability to independently structure, plan, and manage educational administrative matters and systems, as well as strong communication skills and close collaboration with other administrative colleagues. This position suits someone who is proactive, solution-oriented, and flexible, enjoys a mix of routine tasks and more intensive periods, and has a strong sense of service.

The work also requires good verbal and written communication skills in both Swedish and English, as well as strong computer skills and proficiency in Excel.
Working hours may vary, so flexibility and the ability to adapt to the department’s needs are considered advantageous.

This is a fixed-term position starting around December 15, 2025, and ending June 15, 2026. The position is part-time at 20%.
