Project Assistant at the department of Clinical Physiology

Description of the Workplace
The project assistant will work in the Cardiac MR Group, Clinical Physiology. This multidisciplinary group of about 40 researchers consists of medical doctors, engineers, physicists, technologists, and physiotherapists, doing work on a wide range of questions on cardiovascular physiology and pathophysiology.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
We are looking for a person to work on the following tasks:

• Computational laboratory work in acquisition, reconstruction and image analysis in MRI
• Development and improvement of MRI methods
• Application of methods to medical applications
• Oral and written presentation of results within the research group

Other related duties may also be included.

Qualifications
Necessary qualifications for the job:

• Master of Science in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Mathematics or similar.
• Experience of projects in biomedical engineering and medical applications
• Fluency or advanced level of English language in speech and writing

Meritorious are:

• Experience of mathematical methods for inverse problems
• Software development, e.g. Matlab or Python
• Good ability for collaborative work
• Ability to drive projects independently.

Other information
The position is a fixed-term employment according to the Special Fixed-term Employment (SÄVA) regulations §5 p1 LAS, and it is full-time. The desired start date is 2025-12-01 or as agreed upon, with an end date of 2026-05-31.
