Description of the workplace
A research engineer position is available at the laboratory of Barrier Immunity – a newly formed research group, led by Associate Senior Lecturer Inta Gribonika, ORCID, interested in antibody formation and host-microbiota interaction at barrier surfaces. The research engineer hired through this call is expected to work with the principal investigator to build a strong and supportive research environment. Our lab is located at the Division of Molecular Hematology, Department of Laboratory Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Lund University, Lund, Sweden and benefits form state-of-the-art research environment, strong collaborations between research groups specialized in immunology, hematology and stem cell research and highly professional, friendly and collegial atmosphere.

Work duties and areas of responsibility
The selected candidate is expected to provide administrative, organizational and technical research support to the lab. Administrative part will include record management in KLARA and Mosaic systems, writing of ethical permits and risk assessments, therefore good written and spoken Swedish in addition to full proficiency in English is necessary for this role. Organizational responsibilities include effective and continuous lab work management, ordering of reagents, management of lab’s research resources, onboarding of trainees. Technical research support entitles ability to assist in immunology and microbiology research experiments, including maintenance of bacterial cultures, murine colonies and work with in vivo and in vitro systems.

Further information
Employment is a permanent position until further notice, 100% of full time, starting from February 1st 2026 or if otherwise agreed. Trial period may be applied for up to 6 months. Interviews will be conducted on our premises in Lund during the second week of January 2026.
