The Department of Political Science announces an employment as project assistant in the project The investment citizenship industry: exploring power and legitimacy in global governance.
The research project “The investment citizenship industry: exploring power and legitimacy in global governance” focuses on the private firms that work for states and clients around ”citizenship-by-investment” (CBI). CBI refers to the practice of granting citizenship in exchange for investments which signifies improves possibilities and conditions for the global elite. The project focuses on the power that private firms have in this area, and what strategies they use for legitimizing the practice.
The most important tasks include to search for, collect and systematise empirical material on the CBI industry in a number of countries, including Turkey, and to assist in analyzing it.

The employment begins at the earliest on 1 February 2026. The employment is 50% and temporary, lasting for at least six months in 2026.
