The Department of Service Studies is now recruiting two student workers for the CHAMP project, an EU-funded education and development initiative focusing on creativity, cultural heritage, placemaking, and entrepreneurship. The project aims to develop master’s-level modules that strengthen future competences within the Cultural and Creative Sectors and Industries (CCSI).

Work duties

The project aims to strengthen the higher education landscape within the Cultural and Creative Sectors and Industries (CCSI) by develop Master’s Modules that integrate future skills and new technologies, societal transformation and sustainability, ethical and sustainable entrepreneurship, and creativity as a skill for innovation within the EIT Culture & Creativity priority areas.

The CHAMP (Creativity, Heritage and Placemaking Module) project addresses Cultural Heritage through placemaking and entrepreneurship, developing students’ entrepreneurial, cross-disciplinary, and digital skills to drive future heritage transformation.

The project connects academic theory with real-world practice through urban labs, fieldwork, and collaborative projects involving academic institutions, business and municipal partners.

 

Duties in include:

  • take part in planning, coordination and carry out activities for Master´s students at the Culture & Creativity Managment second specialization course (SMMX22) together with the CHAMP project and the course coordinator.
  • take part in the design of a a Master Module Concept, including e.g. outlining of the core focus, learning objectives, and intended learning outcome.
  • take part in the structuring of learning materials and resources
  • take part in curriculum design, pedagogical planning, and integration of entrepreneurship, digital tools, and cultural heritage perspectives.
  • Active participation in project workshops, meetings and student engagement activities.

As a student worker in the project you will arrange and take part in meetings with students at the second specialization course as well with alumnis.

 

Eligible for employment

According to chapter 5 § 10 HF, a requirement to be employed as a teaching assistant is that you have been admitted to studies at undergraduate or advanced level.

 

Qualifications

To be considered for the position you must:

  • be admitted to and are going to start the second year at the Master’s programme in Service Management
  • be up to date with your studies
  • be responsible, flexible and be able to adapt to the requests of the student group as well as the CHAMP project group
  • be able to work independently,
  • be able to take part in project meetings outside Sweden
  • have good knowledge in English, spoken as well as in writing.

 

Desired/additional qualifications:

  • admitted to the master specialisation in Culture and Creativity Management
  • finalized the second specialization cours SMMX22
  • experience of similar duties
  • experience of working on events or projects

 

Great emphasis is also placed on personal suitability.

 

Other information

This is a fixed term employment starting 1 september 2026 and will last until 31 maj 2027 and is 10% of a full time equivalent (9 months).

Employment is subject to the condition that the project funding agreement has been signed.
