Work duties

As a teaching assistant, your tasks may vary and are intended to provide insight into the academic environment of the faculty where you are studying. We are looking for one to three students who want to be part of our teaching and contribute to the development of our activities within Industrial Design.

The duties includes:
Assist with the organization and execution of exhibitions; work in our soft-tool workshops such as sewing, ceramics, and 3D printing. Participate in open house events for prospective students, assist with marketing and Instagram. Also provide support in certain courses and workshops, as well as other outreach activities.

Qualification requirements

Only those admitted to first or second-cycle courses and study programmes at the faculty may be employed as teaching assistants. The degree must not have been obtained.

We welcome applicants from different years of study.

You must be admitted to and currently enrolled in one of the Industrial Design programmes. You have completed one or more courses in Industrial Design. You have excellent English skills, both spoken and written. You have strong collaboration skills and the ability to work independently. You are well-organized and capable of planning and coordinating activities as described above.

Further information

The position is a fixed term position at 10 percent of full time, starting in September 2026 or by agreement, although not beyond May 2027. The employment as a Teaching Assistant is regulated in the Higher Education Ordinance (SFS 2017:284), 5 chapter 8-12 §§. Employment as a teaching assistant may not correspond to more than 50 percent of a full-time post. Duties must comprise educational tasks, administration or participation in research or artistic research.

Teaching assistants shall be employed for an indefinite period, however, for no longer than one year. These appointments may be extended. The total employment period as a teaching assistant may not, however, exceed three years.
