We are now looking for our new Control System Hardware Research Engineer - Timing

MAX IV has several critical systems, where timing and beam positioning is two of them. Without them, measurements and particle acceleration in a circular pattern is impossible. We are looking for someone willing to learn and continue to develop the systems we have so MAX IV can continue to improve its design and performance.

We are looking for a person with a large experience of working with experimental instrumentation. The work will consist of designing, building and commissioning systems that integrate timing, motion, detection, positioning, data and metadata collection in a form that is scientifically usable. We are typically using a mixture of equipment developed in collaboration with other facilities and commercial equipment.

As a professional you will bridge science and state of the art hardware and software development. You will help to maintain a community and support the researcher to be autonomous in synchrotron development. Being part of the KITS group means to participate to different international collaborations about control and acquisition, Scandinavian and European, Scientific and Industrial.

As a team member you will join a trusted and open team where continuous improvement and mentorship is part of our DNA. In addition, you will improve your technique and spread the knowledge within the organization.

Finally, this is the opportunity to learn and to increase your skills, competence and experience. In an international facility such as MAX IV you will meet open minded people from different perspectives.
