SOL offers Japanese from a beginner’s level to second cycle studies, which is within the framework of the Master’s programme in Language and Linguistics. The number of applicants has been very high in recent years. There are good opportunities for students to apply for grants and spend one or two semesters studying at a university in Japan.
The position’s duties mainly comprise teaching, but to some extent professional development and other duties are also included in the position. The position entails teaching Japanese from a beginner’s level to first cycle studies, with a focus on courses in communication skills. Teaching is conducted on campus, at both day and evening sessions. The position may also include course development of both new and existing courses.
Japanese language skills comparable to first language proficiency is a requirement, as is the ability to teach in English from the first day of employment and in Swedish within two years.
