MAX IV is a Swedish national large-scale research laboratory hosted by Lund University. It provides scientists from Sweden as well as internationally, with state-of-the-art instrumentation for research in areas such as engineering, physics, structural biology, chemistry and nanotechnology. Fully developed it will receive more than 2 000 scientists annually, conducting ground-breaking experiments in materials and life sciences using the brilliant X-ray light.
About ForMAX
The ForMAX beamline is designed for multiscale structural characterization of materials from macroscopic to molecular length scales, by combining x-ray microtomography with small- and wide- angle x-ray scattering (SWAXS). A particular focus will be the development of new materials and specialty chemicals from forest raw material, contributing towards our transition to a sustainable, bio- based economy.
We are now looking for a research engineer to strengthen the ForMAX team during installation and commissioning phases.
