The ongoing commitment to improving the MAX IV Linac performance and the preparations for starting the summer shutdown period of Linac work, the RF group is in need of extra help to fulfill the tasks that arise during this period. This help will be focus on preventative maintenance of high-voltage RF power units. We are now looking for a Summer worker.

Tasks
The tasks include:
- Measuring and documenting the temperature and humidity of 23 modulators of high voltage insulating oil.
- Replacement of all air and oil filters of 23 modulators and installation of oil-pump motor controller.
- Assist and help on upgrading of the three modulators.

Qualifications
Basic understanding of physics, electronics and electrical equipment. Knowledge of high-voltage technics, general RF technics, laboratory work and work with measurements lab tools such as oscilloscopes etc. Good Computer skills and good knowledge in English, both in speech and writing are essential. Ability to follow the rules and take initiative, be performance oriented, structured.
