Economic History - Female Empowerment and Economic Growth

Duties

The holder will work within the project “Female Empowerment and Economic Growth: The Case of Sweden 1749-2016” financed by the Swedish Research Council led by Faustine Perrin. The holder will in particular assist researchers with advanced data management, data visualizations and supplementary research.

Eligibility and assessment criteria

Scholarly proficiency is a main requirement for employment.

To be qualified for the employment the applicant must hold a master degree in Economic History or related discipline (e.g. Economics, Sociology, Demography, Economic Geography, History).

Other requirements:

  • High degree of skills and expertise in data management and methods for data visualizations.
  • Ability of identifying and searching for relevant data sources.
  • Competence and experience enough to be able to carry out advanced research assistance in Economic History.

Ability to read Swedish at a basic level as well as familiarity with the Swedish system of official statistics, are desired.

The evaluation will take the experience, knowledge and other personal qualities like, accuracy, independence and collaborative skills, into consideration. The applicants’ ability to use their skills and experience to strengthen and supplement the existing team of researchers in the project will also be considered.
