The research group
The employment as an assistant researcher is in Professor Kristina Sundquist's research group Family Medicine and Clinical Epidemiology. The research group conducts world-leading research on common diseases in primary care such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, mental illness, substance abuse as well as women's and paediatric health and the health effects of migration and socioeconomic deprivation. The research group is located on the premises of the Clinical Research Center (CRC), a lively and inspiring scientific environment in Malmö's beautiful hospital area. The research group works in close collaboration with Region Skåne.

Applicants are invited to apply for the position of assistant researcher. The employment is an fixed-term employment (100 %) for 12 months with preliminary start date 2022-05-01.

Work tasks
The main tasks will be to design and evaluate interventions to increase access to and compliance in somatic healthcare for patients in LARO treatment but also in collaboration with RCC Syd to follow-up cancer survivors.

Qualifications
The employment requires:

  •  PhD in the field of humanities .
  • Documented experience of researching with focus group methodology on patients in LARO treatment.
  • Documented experience of researching issues concerning health competence, stigma and somatic care availability in patients in LARO treatment.
  • Good knowledge of English and experience of writing parts of texts in scientific texts in English is a prerequisite.
  • Knowledge of Swedish is necessary.

Important personal qualities include good teamwork and social skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently. 

Merits are:

  • Experience in cancer prevention studies, especially in patients receiving LARO treatment, is also an advantage.
  • Having your own scientific articles will be considered an advantage.
