Lund University welcomes applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences. We regard gender equality and diversity as a strength and an asset.

The Faculty of Engineering/LTH announces a post-doctoral position for research with a focus on interdisciplinary studies of low carbon transitions in the basic materials industry, changes in value chains and development of methods for evaluating transitions.

The position is placed at the Department of Technology and Society, the Division for Environmental and Energy Systems Studies (IMES), LTH. IMES is an interdisciplinary division with research and education in the closely interlinked spheres of energy, environment, technology, economy, security, and sustainable development.

The position is funded through the EU H2020 project ”Realising Innovation in Transitions for Decarbonisation” (REINVENT). The research will be carried out in close cooperation with other researchers at Lund University, Durham University, Utrecht University, Wuppertal Institute och PBL (Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency).

In REINVENT we analyse low carbon transitions in four key sectors (steel, plastics, paper and food) bottom-up and from within to better understand the dynamics and inertia, and potentials and capabilities for change. See also www.reinvent-project.eu.
