At the Department of Informatics there is pioneering research and business collaboration. We have an attractive undergraduate education providing our students advantageous academic degrees for working life or postgraduate education. We coordinate the system science graduate program at the School of Economics, and offer independent courses and the international masters program in information systems.

Lund University announces at least one position as senior lecturer in informatics, specialising in information systems design. The position is a full time position and is placed at the Department of Informatics, Lund School of Economics and Management, Lund University.

Job description
The position entails teaching and research within design, development, implementation and effects of IS in order to maintain and strengthen the department, as well as teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and supervision.

Teaching comprises a maximum of 70% of the post, and a minimum of 20% research and 10% administrative duties. However, the relative proportions of duties may change over time in line with access to external research grants.The applicant must be able to teach in both English and Swedish.

The applicant is expected to conduct advanced research within the area, which also includes active work in applying for external funding and developing collaborations with other universities and other Swedish and international organisations involved in this type of research. The person may be expected to take some responsibility for the collegial leadership of the department.

We especially welcome applicants that are in an active and productive phase of his/her academic career and familiar with the international research in design of information systems within the aforementioned areas.

Eligibility
Those qualified for appointment as a Senior Lecturer are a person who has demonstrated teaching expertise and been awarded a PhD (according to the Higher Education Ordinance chapter 4, section 3). For this position the qualified applicants must have a doctorate in Informatics or a nearby field.

To qualify for the position the applicant must demonstrate extensive experience in digitalisation and automation of business through designing IT supported ISs. This includes experience and competence in business modelling and architecture. Experience and competence in eHealth and AI is meritorious.

It is a requirement to have completed at least five weeks of training in higher education teaching and learning or acquired equivalent knowledge by other means.

Basis of assessment
The School of Economics and Management strives for a balance between research and education in all teacher positions. Therefore, in assessing the applicants, equal importance will be attached to scientific and pedagigical skills. Administrative capacity is also included in the assessment

In the overall assessment of the scientific skill, particular importance is attached to the merits in information systems design as described above. Scientific merits are predominantly emphasized by conference papers presented at internationally renowned conferences and/or publications in internationally ranked scientific journals

The overall assessment of pedagogical qualifications includes university education, pedagogical experience and pedagogical skills. Consideration will also be given to good co-operative ability, drive and independence and how the applicant, through his/her experience and competence, is expected to supplement and strengthen ongoing undergraduate and master's education as well as research and innovation within the department and contribute to its future development.

The Department of Informatics is a small department, why collegial interaction and the individual's efforts are of great importance. An important element of the employment will therefore be to actively participate in the work of the teaching body for further developing the departments’ educational programs and other activities.
