Subject description

The subject of the advertised position is cryptology and its theoretical analysis. The research will be focused on analyzing the security and design of cryptographic algorithms and methods from a theoretical perspective. This includes both symmetric cryptosystems and asymmetric cryptosystems, various theoretical models for security analysis, and implementation aspects focusing on both software and hardware. Examples of algorithms and applications can be found in ongoing standardization projects in telecommunications and in autonomous systems. Further examples of general applications for cryptology are found in an ongoing digitalization of society and a future world of connected entities and people.
