Qualifications and assessment

Scholarly proficiency is the main requirement for employment. Applicants must hold a PhD/LLD, preferably with a specialization in Labour Law and/or EU Law. Also other PhDs/LLDs in social sciences with a focus on Labour such as, for instance, Industrial Relations, Labour Economics, Sociology or Economic History, can be considered. The applicant shall be able to conduct independent research at a post-doctoral level, and have the linguistic skills to evolve in a multilingual environment: fluency in English is necessary, and a good understanding of Swedish (or any other Scandinavian language), in particular, would be considered an advantage. The Postdoctoral Fellow shall also be team-oriented.

Applications will also be accepted from persons who have not yet completed their PhD/LLD, but this condition must be satisfied at the time of employment.

The application must include a letter of motivation in which the applicants present their research statements on the matter of in-work poverty and labour law. In the evaluation of the applicants, their experience, knowledge and other personal qualities will be taken into consideration. The applicants’ ability to use their skills and experience to strengthen and supplement existing research activities within the School of Economics and Management will also be considered.

The employment will start on February 3, 2020, according to the Horizon 2020 project mentioned above.
