The Department of Clinical Sciences Lund is one of six departments at the Faculty of Medicine. Clinical Sciences Lund cooperates closely with Skåne University Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine in order to optimize the conditions for preclinical and clinical translational research, research strategies and development, as well as education on both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Research group
Our lab is looking for a post-doctoral candidate with a recently obtained PhD in a cell biology or a related field. The candidate will conduct research investigating the role of the mechanical extracellular matrix (ECM) on epithelial homeostasis and collective motility. Specifically, using an in vitro 2D and a new 3D epithelial model, with state-of-the-art microscopy, the candidate will explore how integrin activation and regulation via the ECM drives changes in cell migration, proliferation and transcription.

We are hereby adverstising for the position of a post doctoral fellow. The position is full time for two years according to central agreement for temporary position as post-doctoral fellow. Desired start date is September 15 th 2020 or according to agreement.
Work assignments
This position is in the laboratory of cell and molecular mechanobiology (LCMM) in IKVL. Our primary focus is in using an inter-disciplinary and microscopy-based approach on cellular mechanotransduction and cell migration. We are located in BMC D14 and currently have 2 PhD students, 2 research scientists and one post-doc.
The candidate will perform the following duties in the lab:
The candidate will be required to participate in lab meetings, house seminars as well as present data in these meetings and seminars. In addition, the candidate will be required to participate and contribute in other projects of the lab as well as contribute to the general functioning of the lab.
Qualification requirements
Appointment to a post-doctoral position requires that the applicant has a PhD, or an international degree equivalent to a PhD, within the subject of the position, completed no more than three years before the last date for applications. Under special circumstances, the doctoral degree can have been completed earlier.
