About the research group
The research group for Clinical memory research conducts research in dementia. Research has been at the forefront in this area for many years, including world-leading research in Alzheimer’s disease. The group includes both researchers and technical staff, and is led by professor Oskar Hansson. The research is located at the Memory Unit in Malmö and BMC in Lund. We currently seek three student research assistants to assist in our ongoing research. Our research projects leverage an innovative approach – utilizing state-of-the-art neuroimaging at 3 and 7T as well as novel behavioral memory assessments – to examine how functional brain systems that are critically involved in episodic memory change in early stages of Alzheimer’s disease. The three positions are temporary for a period of 4 months, with preliminary starting date 1st of March 2021 and end date 30th of June 2021.
Work duties
The selected candidates will assist in data acquisition including assistance during ultrahigh-field MRI scanning and handling of research participants and patients. The positions also involve data organisation, pre-processing and quality assessment of behavioral and neuroimaging data, in particular subregions in the human medial temporal lobe.
