Description of the workplace 

The project assistant position is placed at the Innovation Studies unit, the Department of Design Sciences, LTH. The unit has strong links to CIRCLE (the Centre for Innovation Research at Lund University), and the project assistant will work in CIRCLE’s research theme on Entrepreneurial Experimentation (see https://www.circle.lu.se/).

CIRCLE is an interdisciplinary research center spanning several faculties at Lund University. CIRCLE was established by the vice-chancellor in 2004. Since 2018, the center is part of the Department of Design Sciences at LTH. CIRCLE strives to provide an attractive research environment with strong national and international networks. CIRCLE's mission is to understand and explain how innovation can contribute to a good society and tackle societal challenges such as economic crises, climate change or the increased globalization of economic activities.

Work duties

Qualifications  

Required qualifications for the position are:

  • The applicant should have a master's degree in relevant disciplines, such as innovation studies, economics, business administration or equivalent.
  • The applicant should have documented experience of data collection, data management and quantitative data analysis.
  • The applicant must have good knowledge of software programs such as STATA, R or Python. 
  • The applicant must have basic skills in Swedish
  • The applicant must have excellent communication skills in English.
  • The application should be able to work both independently and in a team.

Additional qualifications for the position are:

  • It is an additional advantage if the applicant has skills in big data analytics and experience in working with unstructured data.

Further information 

The employment is a fixed-term employment of 50% , seven months.
